Have you ever been totally strapped for cash? Has there been something that you wanted to do that day but you literally didn’t have the money to do it?  Granted, I wouldn’t recommend you put yourself in the position to so desperately need $100, and then go out and spend it of all things.  Despite that, I am going to give you 10 ways to make, raise, find, or simply get $100 in less than one day.

Pawn Shop

This might be a bit location specific, seeing as how metro Detroit has an abundance of these stores.  There’s even one in Detroit that you may have seen on television.  But they are a quick and dirty place to bring in some cold hard cash if you have the goods to sell.

Craigslist

I would say EBAY, but the fact is, if you need a $100 that day then Craigslist is the only way to go.  You can list, sell, and receive the cash for your items all in one day.

Borrow It

This may humble you a bit, but you could always get a temporary loan from a friend or family member.  It may not be your ideal situation, and you may have to pay it back, but it is interest free.

Cash Advance/Payday Loans

Do I recommend this method? Absolutely not.  Regardless, it is a way to get $100 in less than a day, even less than an hour depending on how close you live to one of these stores.  They have even found a presence online.  Of course this method isn’t for the interest-weary, since you can end up paying 1,000%….I’m kidding…it’s actually more than that!

Handyman

In no way does this apply to me, but if you are a handy person, then list your services online.  People are always looking for a deal, and if the price is right, chances are someone in your area will be calling shortly.  You can list on Backpage, Craigslist, Angieslist, DexKnows…endless areas on the web that cater to this.

Gamble/Casino

You could buy a bunch of instant lottery tickets and hope for the best.  Or you could simply take $100 of your money right now and throw it down on one hand of blackjack.  Sure the odds aren’t in your favor, but statistically blackjack isn’t all that far off.

Online Income

I make pretty decent online income, but I certainly didn’t get there in one day.  If you need the cash quick, then try out a site like Fiverr.com, where you can have pretty much any service fulfilled for $5, or in your case fulfill any service for $5.  Just need to do 20 things within one day.

Return Items

Make an impulse buy recently? Take it back.  Heck, even if it wasn’t all that recent you may be surprised at what a store will take back these days.  I bought something at Best Buy and took it back to Gamestop, they all sell the same items and makes little difference to them.

Recycle

Bet ya thought this was just the green thing to do.  Not when it comes to scrap metal.  Go to your local salvage yard with any scrap metal you may have, and you may find that is a profitable venture.

Sell Your Body

Mind out of the gutter, I’m talking about the legal ways.  You can sell plasma, or even locks of your hair.  Both are perfectly legal, and quite profitable.  If you don’t believe me look it up, you might be surprised at what you find.

Tap Your Retirement Accounts

Again, not something I recommend, but an option none the less.  Taking money out of your 401k or IRA may come with interest and penalties, but they are accessible areas for quick cash.

Don’t forget cash advance on your credit card. I don’t like that choice because it is expensive

Great ideas for alternative streams of income. I enjoyed reading this–haha, especially the “selling your body” one. Props. :)
